Homes for Heroes
There are certain requirements you must meet in order to determine
if you are eligible to apply for a VA loan. The VA has many great programs
to offer veterans for buying a home, but only if you are eligible.
Generally speaking almost all active duty and honorably discharged
service members are eligible for a VA Home Loan.
You may be eligible if any One of the following is True:
> Served during wartime (as defined by the VA) for at least 90 consecutive days
> Served during peacetime for at least 181 consecutive days
> Currently on active duty after 90 days of active service
> Served 6 years in the Reserves or National Guard
> Spouse of a deceased veteran who died as a result of their active service, or
a service related injury and are Not Remarried.
> Spouse of MIA or POWs who are members of U.S. Armed Forces and have
been missing over 90 days
> U.S. Citizen who served with an allied country during WWII
If you can say "Yes" to any of one these statements,
then you may be eligible for a VA Loan!
